Jonathan Clay wurde am 3. April 1985 in Houston, Texas geboren, woe r auch heute noch lebt und arbeitet.

OBZ: Schreiben sie Ihre Songs selber? Und schreiben sie über Ihr Leben?
CLAY: I write all of my songs. Lyrics and music. My inspiration comes from feelings. Alot of times, yes, the feelings come directly from what is going on in my life.

OBZ: Wie entstehen Ihre Songs?
CLAY: I usually begin writing a song with the music first. Ill try to come up with a catchy melodic phrase, and if I think it has the potential to go somewhere, Ill play with different ideas and see if something develops.

OBZ: Ihre Songs klingen nach Freiheit, viel Lebenserfahrungen. Sehen sie das auch so?
CLAY: Yes, when I write, I write exactly what I feel. I think that is the only way to really be believeable.

OBZ: Spielen sie Ihre Musik immer Live? Ist Ihnen das sehr wichtig?
CLAY: Yes I do, and I think this is a key part of developing as a musician and a performer. A huge part of a working musicians trait is being able to perform his/her music for other people.

OBZ: Ist es Ihnen wichtig, mit anderen Künstlern zusammen zu arbeiten? Mit wem würden sie gerne mal etwas zusammen machen?
CLAY: As of now, Im a solo artist, and I havnt had the chance to work with anyone. In the future, Ide love to work with a couple of different artists, and I hope that I get that chance. I think great things can come from collaboration.

OBZ: Was ist das wichtigste in Ihrem Leben?
CLAY: My health, and the health of the ones I care for. Surrounding myself with the poeple I love.

OBZ: Waren sie schon mal in Deutschland? Haben sie in Deutschland mal Musik gespielt?
CLAY: Unfortunately not. I love visiting new places, and I cant wait to play music in Germany one day.

OBZ: Würden sie gerne mal bei einem Deutschen Projekt mitmachen?
CLAY: Of course. Im open to any and all opportunities.

OBZ: Was war für sie der schönste Augenblick mit einem Fan? Oder mit Ihren Fans?
CLAY: I think one thing that has been really touching has been to hear how many people have been comforted my listening to my music while they have loved ones at war. That has really meant alot to me that I could help someone through a tough time with the music that
I wrote.

OBZ: Ist Ihnen der persönliche Kontakt mir Ihren Fans sehr wichtig?
CLAY: Absoloutely. I couldnt do this without the amazing support from my fans. Music is meant to be shared.

OBZ: Was würden sie gerne Ihren Fans sagen?
CLAY: You are the reason I do what I do. Thank you so much for helping me live my dream.
